What are Campaigns?
UserWise campaigns can be seen as an umbrella concept that encompasses all UserWise content pieces (e.g. offers, events, messages, etc.). Campaigns provide the logical grouping for different content pieces that work together to form some action in your game, be it a weekend event, a one-off survey, or anything in-between.
Not only do campaigns provide a logical grouping of content; they also provide a seamless way to schedule, target, and organize for re-use.
Campaigns Calendar View
The campaign calendar provides a clear view into past, present, and upcoming campaigns on a gantt-style timeline. This view allows you to track the cadence of your campaigns, provided a clearer picture of the state of your living game.
Components of the Calendar
Scheduled and Triggered
Switch between your Scheduled campaigns and Triggered campaigns using this selector.
Categories
Campaigns can be grouped into custom-defined categories, which are logically separated and color-coded on the calendar.
Timeline Types
There are three possible timeline types (or zoom levels): Days, Weeks, and Months. The select at the top allows you to change the timeline type on the fly.
Search Filter
The search functionality allows you to search for campaigns.
Managing Campaigns on the Calendar
Campaigns can be duplicated, deleted, campaign details edited, and content accessed by right clicking on one of the campaign bars.
Campaign content can be accessed directly by left clicking on a campaign bar.
Adding a New Category
New campaign categories can be added by clicking the "Add New Category" button in the left panel of the calendar view. You must provide a label and color for every category and these categories are for all team members.
Campaign Details
Campaign Details contain the base details for your Campaign. Creating a new Campaign will open the Campaign Details screen where you will fill out the following information for each Campaign.
In Campaign Details you will fill out the name, category, description, tags, and segments for the campaign. The only key piece to note is that if no segments are chosen, then all users are selected. If multiple segments are chosen, then a user only needs to be in one of those selected segments.
In Scheduled Campaigns, the schedule of your campaign sets the start and end date and time for your campaign. Any content pieces MUST be started/stopped within the campaign's start and stop.
In Triggered Campaigns, the Trigger field must be filled out to specify the specific trigger when the campaign will run for a user.
